About The Event
Johannes Brahms's A German Requiem was not meant to be a mass for the dead, as the term had been used for centuries, but to provide comfort and solace to the living. Exeter College Choir and guest soloists Cynthia Holman and Robert Grisbrook present this powerful masterpiece in a chamber context, with the composer's own rarely-performed arrangement of the accompaniment for four-hand piano.
